On long journeys, e-cyclists have only one worry – will they find a charging station for their bike? It’s really unpleasant to have an advanced bike, to ride in the fresh air without much effort through the beautiful landscapes, but not to have a guaranteed station where he can charge the battery. By installing unique universal and multifunctional BI-charged charging stations, which are the product of domestic knowledge, we will prevent this worry together.
BI-charged Charging stations for e-bikes - a safe and functional solution for the sustainable development of countries.
We all know that many new bicycle paths, bicycle sheds and bicycle parking lots are currently under construction, preparation and planning both in Slovenia and abroad, and the number of e-bikers is increasing day by day. Therefore, charging stations for e-bikes have become an obligatory part of the development of an appropriate e-mobility infrastructure.
In cooperation with excellent Slovenian experts and designers, we at MAITIM d.o.o. have developed universal BI-charged charging stations, which are functional, technologically, safely and stylishly perfect, and with their modular design and various carriers, they adapt to both urban and rural and mountainous environments. They are also intended for charging electric scooters, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, hoverboards, wheelchairs and offer numerous options and upgrades, including
- installation of a solar power plant, which allows charging an e-bike using solar energy, and
- charging box assemblies, which are suitable for installation in places with high traffic and lack of space.
What are the main advantages of BI-charged charging stations?
Domestic development, many options for upgrades and modifications:
The charging station is fully developed in Slovenia and the production itself takes place on our home soil. Since development and production are carried out in our country, there is also a lot of room for modifications or upgrades of the system according to market needs or individual requirements.
Double security – for the user and their equipment:
During development, we focused on the safety of users when using and protecting their equipment. The advantage over most other similar products is that the user stores the battery and charger in a cabinet that is locked with a code or RFID card, so that they can leave the cabinet for a longer period of time without worrying (e.g. to a coffee shop, to a restaurant for lunch, perhaps for a walk in nature or in the city to see the sights). The cabinet can also charge a mobile phone, rechargeable battery and similar USB devices at the same time.
Another very important safety advantage is that when connecting and disconnecting the electrical cable, there is no electrical current in the sockets until the cabinet is closed. When the cabinet is opened, the power supply is automatically switched off again. This is especially important in rainy weather. In the case of external sockets, they can get wet in the rain, which poses a serious danger, especially for people with pacemakers. An additional safety element has also been added in case the user has a short circuit on their device.
Rich equipment in the cabinet – satisfaction for everyone:
The cabinet has a built-in display of the electricity consumed. There are four 230V AC sockets and four USB ports. Access to the electricity charging is possible free of charge (locking with a numerical code) or for a fee using an RFID card (locking with a bracelet or numerical code). The cabinet can also be used to store the user’s small personal belongings that they do not need to have with them during charging.
Modular design and adaptability to the environment:
The charging stations are designed modularly, so they can be adapted to urban, rural or mountain environments by choosing different carriers of superior shapes, materials and colors. Custom-made, they will fit beautifully in the city center, mountainous terrain or rural idyll. The carriers also serve as stands for e-bikes, to which the bike can be securely locked with a lock when the appropriate opening is provided.
The system is based on a cabinet that can be installed on a wall, pillar or on an already prepared carrier. The charging station can be set as desired – we can also limit the charging time (hours, minutes). The charging station and the dial are illuminated with colors depending on the status of the charging station (different colors for: charging, standby and charging completed). Service equipment and a pump are also optional, but we do not recommend this due to frequent vandalism. In addition, cyclists usually already have this equipment with them.
